Sino-Danish Breast Cancer Research Centre
Our primary goal is to improve the survival and quality of life for breast cancer patients
Danish researchers from the University of Copenhagen - LIFE -and a wide range of Danish cancer researchers collaborate with leading Chinese geneticists from Beijing Genomics Institute at the SINO-DANISH BREAST CANCER RESEARCH CENTRE.
Breast cancer is the second most frequent cancer type and the second most frequent cause of cancer related death. Our goal is to develop methods that will enable us to offer tailored cancer treatment that will match the needs of the individuel breast cancer patient.
This tailored treatment will enable us to improve the survival of many women diagnosed with breast cancer. Today, these women are offered standard chemotherapeutic treatment. However, this type of treatment is only effective in half of the patients.
